The team from Ofterdingen is regarded as one of Europe’s most potent GT4 teams, and will be a likely challenger for class victories and championships from the outset of the 2026 GT Summer Series, utilising its Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS fleet.
2025 was W&S Motorsport’s most successful season to-date. The team secured a total of 15 championship titles in six international-level series – ADAC GT4 Germany, the GT4 European Series, NLS, the GT4 Winter Series, China GT and the SRO GT Cup.
As well as being highly-competitive on-track, W&S prides itself on offering a fantastic platform for driver development. The W&S Motorsport Academy is divided into three pillars: Skills, Health, and Management, each led by experts in their respective fields. During the season, fitness and mental strength are specifically fostered. Drivers learn how to use data and video analysis tools, and can optimally prepare for upcoming races in the simulator. Thus, the academy provides the perfect starting point for a successful GT career.
W&S Motorsport team principal Daniel Schellhaas said: “I’m naturally delighted that we once again have a racing series that offers an open-brand environment for GT4 cars – especially to prepare young drivers for what comes next in national and international racing series. For us, this is the ideal foundation within our program that includes the GT4 Germany and GT4 European Series.”
Robin Selbach, Managing Director of Gedlich Racing, added: “We are very pleased that W&S Motorsport will be competing in the GT Summer Series. W&S Motorsport has been one of the most established and successful GT4 teams in Germany for many years, and has routinely demonstrated its sporting potential in the GT4 Winter Series. We are all the more pleased to have participants of this calibre in the GT Summer Series field.”
