Seyffarth Motorsport will add the GT Summer Series to a busy 2026 itinerary, entering an Audi R8 LMS GT4 for Tobias Erdmann and Bernd Schaible.
Erdmann and Schaible will join the grid for a full-season campaign, in collaboration with Seyffarth, a team celebrating 50 years in motorsport in 2026. Tobias Erdmann and Bernd Schaible have competed together in the V10-powered GT4 machine regularly, and Erdmann won the DMV STGT title with the car in 2025. During last year, the pair also made a cameo appearance in the GT4 European Series at Spa.
Both parties have significant mileage together, and several years of experience in the Audi R8 LMS GT4 separately also; therefore, it is expected that they will land on their feet at the Hockenheimring.
It is set to be a busy 2026 for the Seyffarth Motorsport team. In addition to the GT Summer Series, the team will also return to the ADAC GT Masters grid under the HGL Racing banner. With a title-winning pair in its GTSS GT4 entry, the team from Querfurt will be keen for silverware in an important milestone year.
The GT Summer Series will begin with its inaugural event at Hockenheim from 17-19 April.
