After debuting in karts, Denmark’s Ole Petersen has raced in closed-cockpit race cars for over a decade. In his debut car racing season – 2014 – he was runner-up in the Danish 1600 Challenge for hot hatches. Since 2015, Petersen has been a regular contender for victories in the Danish Super GT series, claiming championship honours in 2020, 2021 and 2023, as well as vice-championships in 2018, 2022 and 2024.
Last year, Petersen stepped into Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia on a part-season schedule, with a best finish of fifth place. Now, the talented racer brings his OP Motorsport team to the GT Summer Series, debuting in a stunning Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2.
For Petersen, finishing as the best non-GT3 will certainly be a prominent objective. However, considering Petersen’s superb level of racing experience and success in his native Denmark, the white Lamborghini may even be able to challenge for overall podiums at the Hockenheimring.
The GT Summer Series marks a new venture for GEDLICH Racing in 2026, and anticipation is building for an action-packed set of races at the Hockenheimring from 17-19 April. Fans can experience the GT Summer Series in-person at the Preis der Stadt Stuttgart event, with weekend tickets available for just €20. Meanwhile, fans around the world will be able to see every moment live on the Summer Series YouTube channel.
