CCS Racing joins the inaugural GT Summer Series grid

CCS Racing will compete in the first-ever GT Summer Series event at Hockenheim, entering an Audi R8 LMS Evo2 for Thomas Westarp.

Thomas Westarp, 44, was a regular presence in Central-Northern European GT competitions throughout 2025, in his first season piloting the V10-powered Audi. In both the P9 Challenge and Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy, Westarp established himself as a front-runner, securing race victories along the way. He even defeated 2026 GT Winter Series champion Kenneth Heyer in a race at Oschersleben during the season.

CCS Racing has built a reputation as a race-winning team in motorsport, and a specialist workshop for Porsches and other high-performance vehicles. Everything from restoration and servicing to resto-modding and track preparation is performed under the roof of the Cham-based company.

In addition to the team’s recent efforts with Westarp in the Audi, the team has also been a winning force using KTM and Porsche machinery in contemporary GT racing. With a Balance of Performance system designed to favour amateur drivers, the combination of CCS and Thomas Westarp will be a strong contender for podiums and victories at Hockenheim.

The 2026 GT Summer Series will begin at the legendary Hockenheimring from 17-19 April as part of the Preis der Stadt Stuttgart event. All racing action will be broadcast live on the Summer Series YouTube channel, as a new era for GEDLICH Racing begins.
